Organ Recitals are performed on Sunday afternoons on Washington National Cathedral’s great organ and feature fine musicians from around the world.  A donation of $10 per person is suggested. No reservations are required, except for groups.

Choir Season: September-July

Weekly Time Commitment: 

  • Thursday: 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Sunday: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Occasional extra rehearsals/service for Holy Week, Christmas, etc.
  • Occasional opportunity for solo work for weddings, funerals, etc.

For adult choir of 26 voices. Rehearsals Thursday evenings, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. 

Sunday morning call times vary during a season that runs early September through early June and for special concerts and services throughout the year.

Repertoire is rich. Rehearsal is held Thursday evenings, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. Stipend is $78 per call, with 8-10 calls per month.

The section leader must possess strong sight-reading skills, flexibility of musical styles, and a pleasant, collegial approach with volunteers. Position includes opportunities for solo work for an enthusiastic an appreciative congregation.
