Saint Luke Catholic Church in McLean, Virginia, has an opening for a part-time baritone/bass section leader for the upcoming September to May season. You would alternate with our current section leader, who has a busy travel schedule this year. Dates would be flexible, and we would be able to take into account your schedule.

We anticipate your commitment to be approximately 2 Thursdays and 2 Sundays a month.

Our Festival Choir of 35 voices rehearsals on Thursday evening, 7:30 – 9:20, and sings for the Sunday 11:00 Mass, with a call at 10:10 on Sunday morning.

The repertoire consists of the traditional “Anglican” style anthems, from Palestrina to Mendelssohn to 20th-century composers such as Clausen, Chilcott, Durufle, Trotta, Nestor, etc.

We participate in our annual Messiah Sing, as well as one or two other concerts at the church. More information can be found about our Concert Series at this site:

The church website is here:

Someone with strong leadership skills who is able to mentor volunteers is a big plus.

Pay is $90/call.
