All Souls Episcopal Church in Washington, DC is seeking a paid soprano to sing in the choir beginning Sunday September 12.  The All Souls Choir has roughly 25 members and is a combination of staff and volunteer singers.  Weekly rehearsals are Sundays at 9am and are followed by 11am Mass.  There is an additional rehearsal one Saturday each month from 10am–12noon.  Compensation is $100 per Sunday and $50 per Saturday.

Messiah United Methodist Church in Springfield, VA, is seeking a soprano to sing with the volunteer adult choir and serve as a soloist/cantor.  The successful candidate would be of a caliber to sing the soprano solos for the church’s annual performance of Handel’s Messiah (additional compensation). Other paid opportunities include performing on the Music at Messiah concert series or leading sectional rehearsals, depending on the candidate’s expertise. 2-hour calls paid at $80 each; minimum of 2 calls per week. Saint Paul's Parish on K Street is engaging singers to lead an auditioned choir in an ambitious program of liturgical music, including midweek and Sunday services.  The pay per call is $80; average twelve calls per month including Thursday evening rehearsals.  Ensemble experience is expected and high proficiency in sight-reading is necessary.  Please visit to learn more.

Western Presbyterian, a progressive church in Foggy Bottom, is auditioning all voice types for soloists, section leaders, and substitutes. 

Professional singers serve as section leaders to support about 15-20 volunteer singers in the Choir from Sep-Jun. They also sing solo offerings in various styles including classical, jazz, folk, gospel, and popular genres. During the summer, soloists sing on a rotating schedule according to availability.
