Description: St. Anselm’s Abbey School is currently accepting applications for a part-time Choir instructor beginning in late August 2020. Duties include teaching courses in choir and general music for both Middle and High School students. Given the health restrictions in place during the coronavirus pandemic, the position may involve teaching students remotely (individual voice lessons or group classes on Zoom) or in person (either in a hybrid or traditional model of instruction).

Required Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in music or music education
  • An openness to supporting the mission of Benedictine education

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience teaching singing either in voice lessons or directing student choirs at a Middle or High School level
  • Experience accompanying student singers or choirs from the keyboard
  • Enthusiasm for promoting the spiritual, personal, and intellectual development of young men, particularly through the teaching of music in the Catholic tradition
