Washington Performing Arts (WPA) will present The Other America: Dr. Martin Luther King Annual Tribute with the WPA Children of the Gospel Choir, Howard University Choir, and others on January 20.
The concert will “shine a light on all Americans, and cling to the faith that, as King said, will 'speed up the day when all of God’s children…will be able to join hands and live together all over this great nation.'”

Chevy Chase Concerts presents the Apollo Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Czarkowski, at Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church (CCPC) in Northwest D.C. on January 20.  
    The concert will feature Beethoven's Symphony (No. 7). The orchestra will also perform works by Respighi (Suite in G for organ and strings), Dvorak's Slavonic Dances and Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme.   
    The featured artists will include organist Julie Vidrick Evans and cellist Michael Balas.

      Carpe Diem Arts & Washington Revels will present a Community Sing at Seekers Church in Takoma, DC on January 21. The theme will be: Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with songs of Peace, Liberty and Justice.
