matthew hill headshotMatthew Hill, tenor, from Laurel, Maryland recently finished his Master of Music degree in Opera Performance at the University of Maryland. He enjoys a varied career as a soloist and ensemble singer, based in Washington D.C.

Recent roles include Parpignol in La Bohème with Wolf Trap Opera, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte with the Maryland Opera Studio and Music Academy International, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni  with the Maryland Opera Studio, and Damon in Acis and Galatea with New Dominion Chorale.

​Past solo concert work includes Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil, and Purcell’s Welcome to all the pleasures, under the baton of Matthew Halls. He was a frequent soloist with the University of Maryland Bach Cantata series. As a choral musician, Matthew sings weekly at the Washington National Cathedral. He also performs as a soloist and chorister with the Washington Master Chorale and Washington Bach Consort.
