Calvary United Methodist Church in Arlington, VA immediately seeks a part-time Music Director to lead development and implementation of the music ministries of the church.
Duties include coordinating music at all worship services to align with sermons, scripture, and mission; directing the Calvary Chancel Choir during 11AM Sunday Services and other special services; supervising periodic production of other music programs and management of music staff. Work is estimated at 15 hours per week, more during high holy weeks. Qualified applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent and sufficient piano skills. Must have ability to lift up to 35lbs and to climb steps. Must be a strong collaborator and self-starter and model robust Christian faith. 3+ years of contextual music leadership experience a plus.
