St. John's Church, Lafayette Square, a historic parish across from the White House, seeks a tenor staff singer to join the fully-professional St. John's Choir which provides musical leadership for the weekly 11:00 a.m. service in addition to monthly Choral Evensong and extra services throughout the year. Members of the St. John's Choir also serve on a rotating basis as section leaders within the volunteer Parish Choir. 

Regular rates are $131 for calls with the St. John's Choir and $100 for calls with the Parish Choir for a cumulative annual earning potential of up to $12,000. 

 

The successful candidate must have significant choral experience and the ability to blend in a small ensemble.   Also required is the skill to make music at a high level with minimal rehearsal, and a willingness to commit to a professional and collegial working environment.
